Best music to practice theory test
Not just your theory test, in fact, but any subject which requires remembering a large amount of structured information. I have to practice theory test this week, this is why I am testing various genres to find out which stimulates my brain best. This is what I have found out. Hard rock and metal tend to distract my attention. I don"t know why it is so, but I guess that there is too much irritation and this is the reason of my problems with concentration. I can"t stand all sorts of oldies radio stations, too. I know every single song that they play by heart so I tend to sing instead of getting down to work. It"s not a good choice, either. I have also tried chill out. It"s much better, but it all depends on the kind of chill out we are talking about. Chill out is an umbrella term for various types of music, and sometimes the steady, trip-hop sounds may help you concentrate, while other artists only make you feel slightly nervous. Of course, I have also tested opera and classical instrumental music. Opera is good for a lonely evening at home when you simply need to relax a bit, but since human voices can be a bit too much fascinating, at least for somebody who tends to like beautiful voices, classical music works best. It"s simple and energetic at the same time, and perfect as background music. It really helps me practice theory test, and I think I have finally come to like Beethoven and Schubert.
